2026 - 2025 - 2024
Here's my little blog where I mostly put random little fun things and adventures I go on!

2026 08 14

10 years or whatever ago I remember watching GamerFromMars and Justin Wang. At first it's kinda fun, they just highlighted stories that I saw happen as they occurred or Justin talking about meme's I remember from imageboarding 20 years ago. It was a little fun to see how a lot of documentation was wrong or "written by the victor" and then have either of them tell it that way.

I had plenty of moments where I was like "hey, that's wrong, that's not how it happened at all. I was there laughing on the sidelines when it happened." But then Justin just started reading encyclopedia dramatica entires and gfm started doing that turkeytom shit with titles like "The most vile degenerate artist ever?!?!?!" and it's like, some pg-13 babyfur shit from a dead devianart account. They also have monetized vids talking about and ridiculing Christine Chandler because they saw geno cunt getting popular with it.

Although it's always possible that they were kinda ass from the start. Wang did start by just reading out loud silly or vile 4chan posts after all. Maybe they just got emboldened by *something* and decided to go mask off in the latter half of 2010's.

A kiss to whoever kills my loud fucking neighbors who make sure I can never sleep

A handy for whoever makes the loud americans across the yard leave forever

Also;

The problem with Twitch is that it's ingrained and people use it for their livelihood. Which means that most people won't leave twitch even if they just remake streamers with AI. It's like how twitter was so big that a lot of people refused to leave, even as the grok AI was making CSAM on command all day.

My dear bestie Juglone send me some wonderful self-made stickers and a delightful letter! :3

Also, I lied, I ended up playing the remake, Trials of Mana instead of the original for the SNES.

I had a lot of fun with it! While it does have big round quest markers, it honestly helps with some parts of the game. The combat is fun and I like that they went the extra mile to voice so much of it.

Although, there is a little thing that irks me. Way back when, when you only have maybe 5 sprites to work with, it's hard to make characters in aJRPG for the SNES emote during scenes. Which is why you get such goofy dialog sometimes or massive exposition dumps. Main character narrating thoughts out loud for the audiance.

But now you have full 3d eviorments and complete control over the camera. You can pose the model and use their eyes and other facial animations to help bring a point acorss. But Mana doesn't do that. Characters will voice the old games dialog almost perfectly and in it's entirety. Even when a scene is very clear, main character still has to tell you what's going on.

I finished the base game in about 20 hours with no grinding. Only an hour or 3 for the little extra bit after, the DLC feeling thing. I also got the options to do New Game plus so I did that with the characters I did not pick in my first run. Trials of Mana knows why you're here on the 2nd run and gracefully gives the option to get 300% exp, making it so much easier to get to the unique bits per character at the end of the game.

There was an Event today. Someone lit a large container on fire that had some junk in it from a nearby house remodeling.

2026 08 05

I liked Arcologies, the drum and bass artist. But when I fly by his channel I started seeing a lot of AI generated thumbnails and shit. Every other video starts with "THIS IS NOT AI!" in the description, but once you start outsourcing 1 thing to AI, it starts to call everything into question. 6 years ago the thumbails are him on a minisynth making some tunes and now it's garbled text with an anime girl with the PS2 logo on the side like he misremembered what those cases used to look like.

I'm also sending a letter with some junk to a dear friend of mine :3

2026 08 04: The great merge!

(As of the posting of this entry, older posts from my Medialog page, Tumblr, Neocities dashboard and Bluesky have been retroactively inserted into these blog pages. Now is the time you ever wanted to know slightly more about me but didn't wanna bother going through socials!)

I suppose I want to collect a lot of the things I like and do in the same place. I used to have a very scattered and nomadic internet presence, changing my handle every few years as I go through various online platforms. I've enjoyed parts of being able to log the things I've done and keep my few zines somewhere for the past few years starting with Solar Cyber Punk in 2022. For all the annoyances of having to make massive lists with pics like I do for the old Following page, I do like having a place for some of my little things and thoughts.

I think about porting over even older things like old versions of sites or maybe even the remaining archives of old accounts I had, But I'm not sure. I was also a very different person 20/25 years ago. Also; video and storage limit on neocities. I'd like to keep the site humble in filesize regardless. I have so many more pics that would fit in Characters, so many mp4's that turned into way-too-big gifs to host that were meant to be on Koro of Eorzea. I'm sure I could shave a few good MBs off Solar Cyber Punk if I fixed the gifs from the first 2 years, too. I recently ran the whole site trough Trimage and was able to win about 50mb back on JPG's and PNG's at least.

When I hit the limit because of blog updates with images someday, what then though? I'm sure a lot of my site can be "complete" at some point or require very little upkeep, but something like the blog would keep updating, at least a little every so often. Solar Cyber Punk is rolled into this site, too. What if I get the goofy idea for more shrines or subsites? Do I do one of those classic Freewebs moves where I make Virtually-Isolated-2 ?

I don't know, but we'll see I suppose. I like working on the site for my own sake, keeping a log and lists of things I liked and did to look back on later. But it's tedious and boring work sometimes, trying to collect like 1600 images, make them 100x100 and slap them in the right table just to make a list of people you think are cool. Sites and socials might die or get deleted one day, it would be nice to at least have a tiny pic there to reconize a name faster so you don't have to search the Internet Archive or hit a search engine with "where do I view my cache?" for every other entry. I want the site to still be self-contained though, I don't want to host images and files on catbox or discord(why) and have those be down randomly. But somewhere along the line I wanna get the most out of the free limitations and partly like the idea to keep it all simple. Still looking into making resources and tabletop junk availible as torrents, same for dead webcomics.

Can you believe i've only been at this site for a year and a half and we're already at a point like this? Granted, I started wondering what the end result of the site would be very early on. And then I kept adding junk to it.

Caught these fun ones on an extended walk I took today!

2026 07 31

Youtube started auto playing some pretentious video about "ooooh, the internet has changed!" and in the first 30 seconds I guessed the maker was born in like 2000. Recounting the days when they were epic trolling le sjw's in like 2010 and that racist tinge about how you can't shit talk minorities as much because they're online now, too. (I mean, they didn't have that clarity, it was just that "every one is le snowflake now!" shit)

I was right though. y2kbaby.

Saw this delightful sticker today though!

2026 07 29

A mysterious package arrived!

It's a cheap ass starter thingy I got for super cheap! I used to play ages ago but some asshole stole my guitar. I need to grow more callous though, these steel strings hurt like hell!

2026 07 26

estroshen when

I just have to wonder if Shen is afraid people are gonna be like they were to F1nnster, Micky D and other people in those scenarios. Where it's fine to 'pretend' to be a woman for a goof and the audience, but as soon as she shows a sign of actually wanting that, they 180 on her and the death threats and they/them'ing starts.

I do think the current fanbase for femShen is half girls like me who see a sister and the other half is redditor types going "ah, my fetish". As it always is for these cases I suppose.

2026 07 25

every so often I get done early with work and instead of the "WOOOO FREE TIME TO PLAY GAMES AND SORT FILES AND BLAST MUSIC AND TALK TO MY FRIENDS" I get that old feeling like I'm unemployed again waking up way too late and being like "all my friends are at work and all I can really do is go outside and spend money to do something alone which im gonna feel guilty about anyway. this sucks."

Also;

There's someone I follow on blusky who will sometimes call out people who like his posts but don't reply or repost.

Honestly waiting for my day to randomly arrive. I love ya buddy, but you're not gonna like what I'll have to say.
It's not like I'm waiting for an excuse to go off, like I said, I like him. But he wants to be known and a little famous, but does these things to sabotage himself. He'll change his name and display pic every week so you can never find him. He'll do @ callouts and kinda depressingly ask you why you like his stuff but have nothing to say. He'll rant about Makeship and Steam being expensive to join.

Sometimes I think about just wiring him the 100 bucks for the steam page store. Just to see what would happen.

2026 07 24

Imagining a scenario where tons of people return half smoked packs of ciggs because they ended up not sticking with Chain Smoker Cat like when people bought guitars for Bocchi

2026 7 22

After being frustrated with my printer I just gave up and bought a cheap ass new one. Celebrating by using my last high quality glossy sticker paper to print Matcha.EXE's beautiful art and some self-promo junk! I still have tons of normal quality sticker papers, I gotta get busy again with designs. Gotta make that "know your worker rights!" zine I wanted. Someday.

I've been playing a whole bunch of Nioh with a dear friend of mine! I had some Secret of Mana and Yolk Hero: A Long Tamago in the background here and there. Started playing Granvir, too!

Now, by the time of writing this I blazed through Secret of Mana and I'll start the sequel in a bit. I had played the fan translated version of Seiken Densetsu 3 ages ago and I loved it despite getting stuck at bosses due to poor money spending and class-changes.

Secret of Mana was a joy to play through again, minus some of the grindy parts of learning and upgrading magic. It's area and enemy design a fun delight coupled with it's music. Although not all tracks are winners all the way through. Sometimes the kicks are a little too loud or the steel drum a little too digitized to sound chill. I had forgotten how thin the start of the game was though. The other 2 party members joining has always felt awkward.

Yolk Hero is a little tamagotchi styled game! You can interact on a very basic level to speed things up and a few select dungeons use top-down basic controls. Your story is that a fairy queen gave you life, so that you can raise the next series of heroes to save the land. The art is beautiful and the writing has fun wit to it!

Me and my bestie Juglone have been tearing through Nioh: The Complete Edition every week or so at a time. I still don't have a real build or anything. Just putting on whatever looks like it has good numbers. The most I've branched out is grabbing almost all the Katana and Spear skills with some Ninjutsu.

There's a lot I really like! Chasing brits across the globe because they took my mermaid spirit wife and getting stuck inbetween the yokai wars is an experience.

We recently got done with the base game! We'll start doing DLC missions soon enough probably!

Granvir is a 3d mecha Rogue-lite game in a low poly style! The coop can be a bit wonky, but I've done a few campaigns with a friend of mine and we're having fun with it!

Made some dogwater cookies, just abysmal looking trash cookies. They were alright, but they were shaped like little birds before they hit the oven.

2026 07 05

I saw on the feed that petrapixel called out the Women of The Internet webring because it was made by a TERF and has a lot of imageboarders, too.

I can't say this was unknown to me, I've come across imageboards with oldweb/neocity threads before and the usual vileness you can expect from an imageboard. While a lot of people just posting clips of neocities news feed or bio's and going "what a [slur] , look at this skitzo maxxer" It's not the worst idea to keep tabs on these people. It's where I often learn little things like "I loved __'s site, they were one of us!" and go "ah, I know you" like [REDACTED].

It's like keeping an eye on things like kiwifarms when you start to get big online. These threads are great for piecing together who the people on the imageboard are though, helps me avoid them and block them ahead of time. There is this fear on neocities where when you get blocked a lot, your page gets reviewed again and taken out of the searches for a bit. It's why some stay really quiet about hating so many people on the platform and calling for violence on them back on the imageboard.

But, plenty of these lolcowers are on neocities, they have been from the start, but at least they hate it there because of trans women like me and others.

Granted, it can't be a mystery that these types of people are on neo, right? I mean, there's a website with a furry TTRPG that plays in the 3rd reich and all the art on the pages are furries in nazi uniforms with the expected regalia. Sites that play screamers and either gore or porn and try to lock your browser. The sites pretending to just be harmless blogs while reciting awful right wing rhetoric. Hell, one of the bigger sites for a while was one of those "haha, just asking questions about Women" while the pages are smeared in decade old 4chan memes.

Sure, this stuff and these people have always been around, even on old Geocities you had stealth neo nazi sites or just straight up stormfront fansites.

Anyway, kiwifarm type imageboarders have always been on neocities and while I do love the call-outs, it's always a bad move to start fights with angry dunces who have little to do and nothing to lose. Anonymity and boredom are dangerous after being indoctrinated by the CIA on your chan boards for decades.

And some people I've been talking to for a while have felt something like this. They're always afraid that a half-hidden reddit or imageboard starts harassing them for the crime of being online and themselves. I've struggled with it myself as I see new people find me sometimes and I get triple the visitors for a while.

But, in the end, some of these little imageboard communities are small, hostile to themselves and mostly just show eachother pics of sites and go "ewww cringe". A bunch of these people are probably not doing great considering they're slinging slurs over 1 or 2 lines in someones About Me, but they ain't a real problem. They'll hopefully grow up a bit and leave that shit behind.
Hopefully.

It was just nice today. I've been thinking about what events and gigs to prepurchase tickets for and to put on my agenda. Nothing yet.

Saw this cute and goofy little thing at work today.

My dear friend Juglone told me about a fun little cozy room builder called Boxroom!
I made a vague version of my current bed-and-computer room with posters I don't actually have!

2026 6 26

At work (during the hottest day, while just about everyone else was off due to heatwave warnings, cheers boss) we found a baby magpie learning to fly in the intense heat. We walked over and gave it water every so often. The sun tore through my sunscreen and now I look awful, I can't even try to even my horrible tan today because it's cloudy all of a sudden.

2026 06 24

I have some videos about old flash animators playing in the background and I keep hearing all the hosts go like "back when I was a child/wAy ToO YouNg" and I reply out loud to myself with "I was 23 when that shit came out"

Anyway

Don't cry, Bree as Peeb on the NG wallpaper, okay?

2026 06 23

It's almost kinda funny how Jax shares a lot in common with me, which by extension is just some of Gooseworx's lived experiences portrayed through her.

I was Jax adjacent for a decade and a half. I was bitter and ready to die alone, in a closet and unfulfilled. But I feel I can't really say that too loud with the discourse going around. Lots of strange interpretations and such. I'm glad I got to enjoy the series in a bit of isolation and with my own media literacy I suppose. It really is Steven Universe all over again, the fans even ignore whatever the creator is going through just like they did with Sugar and Cartoon Network.

Ah well, isn't she wonderful?

While we're having a heatwave, I didn't feel like playing much or anything intense, so I played the first Legend of Zelda again after decades!

The game is still as secretive as I remember. Tons of hidden caves all over the overworld that you can only open with Bombs, items that rarely drop in most cases, you only carry small amounts of at the start and buying them can be annoying when you're searching for shops (Which are also sometimes hidden behind walls or bushes you need to remove)

I spend so much time bombing a pixel to the left of where I should be or wasting so many bombs on walls with nothing. I vaguely thought there was a way to tell when I hit things with my sword, but I could never find a proper correlation in my 14-ish hours of playing.

But beyond that being my biggest gripe, I enjoy the tunes, the dungeons (Although I do chuckle and go "hhmmmm" at that one level with the one shape) and had fun seeing the roots of such a flagship series again. It's a hard recommendation to be honest, but hey, you can just grab a guide if you're stuck. I did need to pull up a world map at some points because I just did not know where to go a few times.

I also ran some of my older programs I had on a stick to see if some could still work in Linux Mint. Got a laugh out of this one.

I suppose it has been a bit and maybe I should take it off the Resources page.

2026 6 18

A dear friend, Rave Arts, made this delightful piece for me!
Check out her other cool art under her Insta!

2026 6 13

During a really hot day it was super misty in the harbor!

I was playing a little bit of Morrowind again (Big surprise!) and landed on this character. Vaelyna of House Telvanni. I started with the main idea to do the Main Quest Backdoor Route. Where normally you prove yourself as the Neverine, there is a way to complete the main quest even after killing some highly important NPC's that are needed for the main quest. I did some Telvanni quests, got to the trainers and used my money from questing and hunting to min-max train things like INT, STR and END.

With an enchanted deadric dagger I make my way to Vivec and put him in a soul gem. I take from him one of the artifacts needed to complete the game together with all his research. I take this to a character that is part of the main quest, but also offers this backdoor. He examines it and I hunt the other artifacts. Now comes the fun part, taking this route means you are jury-rigging artifacts to defeat the main villain and his machinations. One of the items you put on will permanently take max health off you and will kill you if you;re not strong enough. This is why we maxed out our HP-per-level with Endurance despite being more of a Mage!

With over half my max health gone I run over to the final dungeon and finish my destiny. Time to cross the water to the rest of Vvaardenfell!

2026 06 11

I was trained to feel like a bit of a burden, so a lot of times I try not to bother other people. And if I do, I better have something good to offer.

But I see a lot of my friends or people Ive been following for ages run into bad times and I feel like I would only make it worse by butting in. I've seen people who I've been a fan of for decades feel alone and I just feel like they don't need a well-wishing fan next to them. I'll sometimes see them ask to chat with someone and I feel undeserving of something like that.

I really need to kill that version of me at some point. I've been trying to be more out there, both for myself and the people I care about. So if I end up being weird in your inbox, sorry! You can hit me with rocks.

2026 6 10

Happy pride everyone! I got this cute piece commissioned from Match.EXE to celebrate a little!

2026 06 09

I want to add a little something to the resources and tabletop pages on the site, magnet links to torrents that have most of the stuff I mention. It would make it very easy for people to get emulators, pricey DnD books for free and more, but then I have to hope people still know how torrents work.

That and I have no idea if Neocities is cool with just the links and a guide next to it on how to use Transmissions or Utorrent. I don't host anything directly which keeps me out of 90% of the hot waters out there I suppose.

I wanted to make my site partially for the viewer, for them to get fun programs and some other junk as they scroll along. Like how so many sites way back would have their own little section with their favorite tools and such. But I get the idea only rarely does someone actually find something, or at least, only once every few months will I get the vague mention that someone at least looked at the resources.

Somewhere along the line it's better to be a little on the low-down, but being seen can be nice.

I had been watching some of Majuular's videos in the background. Mostly the Ultima series retrospective. I normally watch these as they come out, but I had 2 days off and I spend it reinstalling Morrowind, Tamriel Rebuild mods and staring at the rain outside. So I figured, why not!

I only played a little bit of various Ultima games. But I knew of the series and how it had influenced so many of the RPG's I played. I loved learning about how much Garriott wanted to present his world to the players. The trinkets and cloth maps in the game boxes is such a delightful thing. The maps and manual both being very effective guides for the game itself, with the marking on the maps detailing various secrets or at-first confusing travel systems and how the manuals often were a little spellbook in their own right.

Ages ago I had my own little universe and world, like a lot of people do and pretty much every creative has. Mine was heavily based on the games, books and shows I watched. I enjoyed fantasy RPG's but also hits of sci-fi and cyberpunk (Bless you Blade Runner for showing up on late night TV once in the 90's and changing my life.)
This was heavily reflected in how my world starts in classic "The bad guy and his monster army burned my village and now me and my friends are gonna kill that dude. Also this older guy who knows a lot and looks a bit like me is joining our quest, sometimes" and ultimately evolved into a small space system with planets, space faring and a metal god at the edge of the universe, ready to quiet down the stars because things were getting too bright and powerful.

It's fun to think back on it and then see the same vibe reflected in Ultima 1, a game I had never even played. Garriott also was just a humble RPG hero, bowing to a self-insert of himself before he becomes the avatar. I just think it's beautiful to see that young Garriott, before I was even born, was also just putting himself into fantasy hero situations like I did. Like we all do!

Did you know they also blasted him to space a bit ago? He really became a Space Ace after starting his career with a sword and shield. It's one thing to write your own fantastical story, but a whole other amazing thing to live the story beats yourself!

Sometimes I wish I would revisit that little OC universe. But it's so rife with stolen names, unoriginal concepts and by this point I've forgotten massive parts of it. A while ago I found a lot of the figures again in an old box but a lot of pieces were missing. I recreated them in slightly different outfits, trying to still match the original and now they sit on my little memorabilia shelf.

2026 06 08

I managed to avoid the leaks for TADC by doing nothing, but the day it came out I had already seen the plot, the ending and characters be overexplained poorly on every social.

2026 06 05
(On Tumblr)
I've had like a decade where there are just almost no pictures of me. A random one with one of my old cats, a view from the window or a sunset on the road I would walk to get groceries.

Maybe some things are the same, but I'm happier now.

And that's why for pride and a little bit of defiance, I was thinking of posting old-to-new selfies for fun and (a little) vanity. I don't mind being seen anymore. Maybe some things haven't changed, but I'm happier now.

2026 06 03

Think I'm gonna host some of my tabletop and other resources as torrents on the site because some file hosts know instantly what i'm uploading and flag it. Which I think means I should write a little thing about getting started with that.

I do get to show you people you can torrent on your phone, I guess.

2026 5 29

Put a sticker on my spare helmet based on an old meme.

I'm trying out some other OS's on the laptop and I'm having fun with Kubuntu right now! It was recommended by the delightful Nova The Proot!

The little animations on everything are already cute and I'm looking around for themes and all that. I feel I could turn this into a laptop you'd see on a nickelodeons show. Super bubbly and rounded design and all that.

I also got a laugh out of seeing My Little Pony on the VLC screenshot. I checked on Mint and it doesn't have that there.

I hope people start cooking the YT datacentres soon, too
Not even gonna look at this.

Every so often I go past the Geocities archive and look through West Hollywood.
West Hollywood was the district for all things LGBTQIA+, perhaps not in those specific terms back then, but here you find proof that all of us in all our various ways have always existed and that we've always tried to reach out to one another.

When dumb fucks try to tell you that the internet was only Call of Duty Lobbies and 4chan before 2010, remember all the beautiful ladies from then, and kill those chuds with a rock. I was running into cute little trans sites in like 97' myself.

Or when Tumblr tells you trans women are mature content

Passed this cute little thing in the city!

2026 05 17

I've been waiting for Gamoverse for over a decade. I remember all the fun moments on streams and such where Ross was just so excited. Maybe it's not all how I imagined it, but I'm just so happy to see Ross finally get this ball rolling.

Imagine how much sooner this could have happened if arin & dan didn't fumble YT Red shows and just gave Ross some starting capital instead.

2026 5 16

It's one of those weekends where we do our nails poorly and crack a brew with the lasses online in Voice Chat with cam.

I had been watching a whole bunch of Hannanie videos again. Hannanie was a Old School Runescape player who also made series with fun or silly premises. She's appeared on some of the larger events organized by the game and also did a lot of charity streams. She's also a Girl Like Me. I forget how many years ago I found her series about fighting the bosses in the game and sometimes teaming up with other people from the OSRS fan community in videos. She makes me laugh, but sometimes I also worry. There was a moment once where she didn't make videos or post anything for a while and when the video comes out it starts with her talking about how things ain 't great and then she talks about the mental health charities the donations go to. Then, later down line I find a members-only video she made where I guess she talks about what she's going through. Perhaps it's a little parasocial, but it's just such a sour feeling to hear that someone had a rough time afterwards. You want to be there in the moment to be supportive in which way you can, and when it's like reading an analytical piece years down the line or hunting for history or timeline, it's just such a shame.

She's doing well, these things come in waves, we all have that. She broke away from Old School Runescape a while ago. The vibe in that game was looking alright for a while, but bigoted types still prevail and with the removal of this years Pride Event, they feel emboldened. This also makes similar types flock to the game because their friends are "prepping the bar" by showing up early and doing these anti-pride protests and riots, if you know the saying. It was always a little rough when it comes to chat, double so when dealing with free players on the 1 social world in the whole game(301 put ya hands uuuuuupppp). But it certainly gotten worse.

RuneScape also has very interesting bots and people running around it. There was a group called Bible Chat. They would advertise with auto-typer accounts standing in populated places. It would range from "Jesus is the Light, join BibleChat!" "Together in Faith, BibleChat!" and "Homosexuality is a sin, BibleChat!"
The blow was a little cushioned by the fact I was running a little plugin that adds text-to-MiscrosoftSam-Speech and it came out goofy, but BibleChat was around for a long, long time. It didn't phase other people I guess. I joined it to have a look for a while. You would see these moments of humanity, someone with a drinking problem going through the rehab process and just needing people to talk to. Sure, I could never hate that. But this would be followed with immense transphobia and recital of psalms that refer to murdering sinners.

There have always been bots in the game, there was even the Steven Bot that you could command! But there are others. In populated places, it was not a rare sight to see people constantly rattle off inflammatory statements. Extreme right rhetoric to rile people up. But after a short while I started to see that they repeated a lot of phrases. When someone would tell them to shut up, they would use the same canned phrases and accusations. Aggressive chatbots whose sole purpose is to be inflammatory. Dev's and Mods have stated that a lot of these types are not native to the game. That the people who show up to anti-pride riots are just tourists. I always found a little hard to believe that it's worth it to make an account, get membership, do like 50 quests, travel to where ever to buy the white robes, get the cannon and raise Prayer to get Overhead Icons. All this to autotype for an afternoon. I can't imagine a scenario where this is worth it for actual people to do. Even if it's all botted and macro 'd, whose putting the money and time in this type of ... whatever this is. This protest, spreading of extreme right rhetoric, whatever.

And then the CEO fell to it. Of course, this launches a little counter protest that got no coverage and people didn't even know happened. The people who dress in white robes telling people there's no room for LGBTQIA+ people have won this battle. Glienor is theirs now I suppose. Powers greater then us as players have agreed with them.

I used to log on for at least the holiday seasons and shyly showed up at a few pride events. The only time when I didn't see blatant homo&transphobia was when a Mod himself did a player run parade and was able to mute players when they started yelling trash. But, the events get cancelled or the area the seasonal quests is in is overrun with 'protesters'. It's tricky to try and do this cute quests about a lad wanting to send flowers to his neighbor lad while 60 people in white robes are yelling "WE PAY, NO GAY" "RUNESCAPE IS NOT A PREDATOR PLAYGROUND" and shit like that in your ear.

I grew up with Runescape as my first MMORPG of that kind. I made little friends, learning about getting scammed, did Dragon Slayer and must have spend 100's of hours Fishing and reading Webcomics at the same time behind the family PC when I was 12. I played "Classic" before it was classic for a month or 2 before I was about to jump out. Then RuneScape 2 arrived! This is the RuneScape most people know. Being able to run this out of a browser for free was great for young me who was legally barred from getting a job yet.

I also went by the make over mage once after saving up all that money (lol) and transed my gender for a little while when I was 12 or 13. Which I'm sure meant nothing when I did like it, but felt I had to change back before my RS friends saw it and would call me slurs.
I was on little forums here and there, but I joined Neoseeker over the RuneScape forum. RuneScape was always there in the background. I even played a whole bunch when Dungeoneering came out and I could just dungeon delve with friends! Put it in OSRS f2p but delete the skill aspect, please, I beg of you. Anyway.

They always say that you never quit RuneScape. And maybe that's true for some. Maybe. But not for me. I don't want to go back anymore. I don't want to be surrounded by either people who hate me or bots who are essentially just megaphones with tape recorder on them for the same people. For all the joy I've had doing fun quests and meeting the few rare chill people, I can't ignore everything else in that world and I just don't feel like it's a home I can come back to every so often.

Hannah kinda quit OSRS a little bit ago, too. She wants to make more varied stuff beyond that 1 game. She's out revisiting her old favorites and trying out new MMORPG's with fun premises. I hope we all get that respite. I hope that even though one of my old favorite worlds is too hostile to me now, I can find a place somewhere else digital to be. To just be.

Like, so many of my Final Fantasy VIX friends last logged in years ago and I just don't feel the spark anymore. City of Heroes Homecoming is so casually homo&transpobic I can't stay for long either. Older gameworlds are dead and the private servers are barren.
I can't always commit to build my own world in other games because it's either in a file type/service I can't share and will somewhere lose or I build in something that uses proprietary stuff and that's going down in a few years.
I used to do some VR chat with modded, overheating phones and I enjoyed my time there. I visited people's portfolios and their project mostly. The streamers found it, then their viewers did. The influx of teenagers imitating the same 3 bits from their funny streamers chased everyone off. Since a long time people really hang on personal instances of maps people made that only Friends or Friend-of-Friends can join. There have been many more changes since then, they also pushed the VR headset, the Quest, really hard at Xmas and well, you can imagine how that helped drive people to secluded worlds.

I used to call myself Nomad Yves on an old Garry's Mod game mode. It was a little melancholic at the time and even more now.

2026 05 13

I flew too close to the sun again. I followed a few very old friends on Insta with whom I have a strange and painful (mostly on my side and in my head) relation with. While I believe they are still better off without me in their life, I would still put them on my sites Following page and link to their art and all that.

Now one of them is following me back.
They can probably look at a single picture from now and be like “I'd recognize that fridge shaped garbage bag instantly!”
oh girls we're really in it now

They were always smarter and kinder than me. Somewhere I know they won't view me as something negative. Somewhere I know they would accept me.

But it's been a life time ago, and only in their absence the last decades did I really start to internalize and apply all the kindness they taught me, directly or by osmosis. I was filled to the brim with ignorant apathy and a snide demeanor for so long.

I was a drag to be with a lot of the times and I still feel that way. I don't feel like I have anything to add to their life that they have been living to the fullest, while I'm barely starting one I'm happy in. I don't know.

I think I would be most ashamed that for the kindness I try to cultivate, I deny it to myself. I can already see them throw up their hands in frustration and tell me I'm still the same as I ever was.

I'm scared that despite all the growth, ideals and advice I leeched from them, I still learned nothing and that I'm still nowhere.

This and next week I can take public transit to work and I keep running into this sticker on the way. It's terrible, I love it with such disdain!

Every so often, I'll feel like diving into an old MMO again. I just want slightly crunchy dungeon crawling and bossing, ya know? So many of the MMORPG's I've played are dead now or changed beyond recognition. Some are just unplayable because they didn't even change the movement mode to WASD or something after 30 years.

I don't really want to jump into Old School Runescape. I would already play it for a bit every year or so, but with the community staying and becoming more bigoted together with the CEO deleting the pride events and raising the prices when people left, I don't want to play anymore. Shame really, the OSRS dev's do their best and Mod Ash is a delight and an absolute ally. Patience of a saint and the sword of one if you start saying dumb shit to him.

Not even considering WoW, I will never give Blizzard money again and 80% of all Blizzard game players are just like that.
I don't need that in my life.

So, I looked at Everquest again. I tried a little bit a decade and half ago or something and saw the fun bits, but had such trouble with the convoluted controls and the absolutely mild UI design.

Maybe I'll never get anywhere, maybe I'll have fun, who knows! Find me on Bristlebane - The Tribunal! I might still change characters though.

I've been trying out some other OS's! While most run fine and I seem to be able to work most of them like Arch (Install took me an extra minute or 10), I'm looking for something "fun". To most users, fun mostly means programming everything yourself and I'm sadly not like that. I guess I'm just looking for Mint with way more graphical options. Something where is easy to edit and mess around with the look without having to pick up a programming language. I'm not a smart rat.

2026 05 4

if you complain about woke in runescape and the Make-Over-Mage is older than you, you're a tourist. This absolute icon was already getting fluid with it before you got ejaculated, let alone before you even found a computer.

2026 05 2

Working on the City of Heroes/Villains/Going Rogue shrine. Just gonna list some pics and stories about old characters. Might throw it in the Homecoming discord when it's done, then run like hell before they find the rest of the site and they start casting slurs because I salute a different red white and blue flag.

May 2026

After years of thinking about it and seeing the fandom everywhere, I read Homestuck! At first I was still a little hesitant because I saw people say it takes like 4 months to read it. Turns out if you've been reading webcomics for ages it goes a lot faster. I got done in 3 days or so. While you sometimes run into massive paragraphs of text in a chat log, sometimes 30 pages fly by because it's an action scene or something that (luckily) doesn't need an A4 of text to understand.

I started skimming the larger chatlogs after a while because not all of it mattered to me. Maybe I missed a moment here or there where one character tells another about their favorite pencil, but by the end I didn't feel left out on a lot of stuff by skimming text here and there. Reading the first 2 lines and the last few was often enough if I picked up a few lines in the middle, too. It's how you can still understand the first Digimon series by only watching the recaps at the end and start of episodes and not miss a single thing.

I liked a lot of the art in Homestuck! The little 'quick' characters with no arms don't have any particular charm to me though. I see the template potential though, I see it. But with a lot of it's bashing together of the art and edited photographs it has a beautiful look to a lot of the bigger pieces. Delightful use of colour to really catch the readers eyes and like I saw some one say ages ago, even the clouds are a delight to look at!

I can't say the series broke new ground for me in that many ways, I've been into fantastical fantasy for ages now and have read several webcomics that deal with a lot of the same type of arcs, narrative and even just plots. I do see it's merits though, I kept in mind around what year what chapter was I read it. The animations and interactive games are amazing though. It's not something an author can just casually do! That part does make it stand out the most to me, the presentation! Unmatched!

I liked a lot of the characters by the end. I found it a little hard to care about the trolls at first and only managed to really care about a handful of them as the final curtain drops and the credits roll. I knew they were meant to be obnoxious and that's not the reason I was mild about them. A found a lot of exchanges to really go nowhere minus a single sentence at the end between some of the characters. It's only when you see the characters go through messy, emotional things that I finally cared a little about them.

Vriska was an interesting character to put it softly. While I've seen that the fandom feels various ways about the character, I thought a flawed individual like her worked fine. It gave the other characters something to do and added some stakes and urgency to the whole thing. I can totally understand the loathing people have for some of the characters, in those moments as the reader watching it unfold I share a lot of those feelings. The balancing of the fantastical elements together with just the messy and emotional sides of the characters is the spice!

In a way the hypocrisy, betrayals and all that, it adds much needed interaction and tension between a group of people basically stuck in 1 room for 3/4rds of the story.
Something about Disco Elysium but you're a witch in a cabin in a peaceful village with her cat.

I find it hard to recommend it though. The beginning is a bit of a slog to get through and sometimes it's a lot of pages with massive paragraphs in the chatlog, using name abbreviations I start losing track of and sometimes the worst font colour and the worst typing quirks. It becomes a word salad and I would just feel my eyes glaze over. I'm not a fan of CTRL+ALT+DELETE, but I think a lot of you owe Buckley an apology about how his webcomic was nothing but text at some points.

Some of the intermissions were also a little drab. Hussie going on in psycho-babble about ruling you and dominating you when you wait for updates. Or how your prompts are useless and the story was set in stone anyway. I suppose it's cute to get a little true-4th-wall-breaky, but I've been seeing artists do that for 3 decades, so while I see it and I get it, I might not have much to engage you with. I already know what this is and I got nothing to add I suppose.

In the end, I'm glad I read it. I understand where a lot of people have been getting their jokes from the last decade and how many of the popular posts or memes are just copy pasted Homestuck texts. Also shined some light on where a lot people got their framework and basic terminology about gender, attraction and some other things. You know how it is, if Naruto believing in you makes you brush your teeth, dattebayo. The Quadrants being just polycules and toxic yuri is funny though.

Also, I was waiting the whole series for June Egbert and it just never happened. There's a conversation that happened where the main protag, John circles the concept and says "But what if I was a girl?" and I thought "Here we go!" and then nothing.

I heard and read a lot of things have happened to Homestuck, Andrew Hussie and things like games and Homestuck2 in the past years. I'll dive into all that later, maybe.

2026 04 30

donestuck.
It's alright. Bit of a slog to get through here and there, fun interactivity sometimes though! I don't think I would been enamored with it if I was reading as it was coming out.

I'm sure there's supplement materials to check out, but eh, nah. Fun read! Kept me busy for a bit. Shines a fun light on interactions and memes I've been seeing the past decades.

Why ain't june egbert real though. I was waiting the whole series for that to happen. There was that mini bit where they're on the chat and john hits a few "but what if I was a girl though?" lines and I was like ' yay, it's starting! ' and then no.

Is this how people feel when they watch Breaking Bad for the first time nowadays when all they knew where the tumblr memes?

April 2026

There was a game I would play on-and-off for ages now. Star Conflict. I found it when I was looking for Starfox-ish games and this seemed better then what we had back in 2015. I'm not playing War Thunder.

You may have heard of Star Conflict, it's a game with almost 3000 dollars worth of DLC in the form of 'cool spaceships'. In between the almost-daily announcements about their fake currency being on sale or starships that are now 30 bucks instead of 35, they announced the game will be shut down this year October. As you can imagine, putting that inbetween the next sale is a poor move. But, I and I reckon most players have already lost faith in the game ages ago. It's more of an "of course, right?" then a "How dare they!"

Despite this, sales go on and at most they release some old dead game modes back into rotation. They have no plans to just give people the premium junk because it was worthless from the start anyway. At most they will close the shop like 1 week before the final date of shutdown.

I'm gonna miss being in space though. To celebrate the death of the game I've used some of the battle pass currency I've never bothered to understand to get a new portrait!

Goodbye Lylat Star.

2026 04 29

Started actually reading Homestuck! I see a lot of fun things, cool story beats, but I do need a lot of people to apologize to Buckely about his comics having this era where it's more words then print because the chat logs do become such a burden to read.

Up to 004479! That's like 45% right? I saw someone mention it's like 1k pages and it takes people like 120 hours - 4 months to get through it. This is the end of my first reading afternoon-and-a-little-of-the-evening.

I did like and laughed a little at the troll romance breakdown where Hussie is just explaining toxic yuri and polycules. I can see where a lot of people got their wording from in the last 2 decades.

I'm digging it so far, but the start was a bit of a slog.

2026 4 27

There was a holiday here, we had markets and stuff all around. Went shopping and found a whole bunch of cute horse plushies!

2026 04 26

Damn, I should have gone to Fan Fest

2026 4 21

I guess people liked the little thing I wrote about spotting AI music on Youtube.

Oh no, what if I've peaked.

I've been playing a bit of Kenshi again! Every so often I disappear into the game and don't come out till I have taken the world.

This time, I'm gonna make a main base in the Fog lands, a place overrun by hostiles who will capture you and devour you. I'm sure it'll be fine!

2026 4 20

Had a short work day near the beach and walked around a little!

I watched the 2 hour Sarah Z video. It covers a small range of topics that have some overlap. Grifters, child liberation and use of propaganda in those cases.

I've been a fan of Sarah Z for ages now and I think the channel is worth a look for anyone! Just head over and hit something vaguely in your knowledge!

2026 4 17

A beautiful woman showed up at my door today!

I made the mistake of lingering on youtube again, but at the very least it started to auto-play some Drum and Bass playlists. It landed me on some one I found a while ago and liked a lot!

Dedeco
is a DJ from Brazil with love for the older DnB you would find in games like Ridge Racer or even Monkey Ball! He's also done fun sets with Tekken music. He also does this fun thing where he talks and tells stories of interviews and such with the composers and producers, all via the subtitles option!

2026 4 16

Went out for a little bit and walked to the bathrooms, only to be transported to this aesthetic little wonderland.

2026 04 15

Oh, what a surprise, the site vibe coded with AI from the guy who threw his phone into the pool because it was warm looks like this half of the time.

What do you even mean at this point?

2026 04 14

I think my greatest motivator for writing stuff for the website was always spite. Anger at politicians throwing people like me to the lions spawned Deadweb, seeing people living in an ad-filled hellworld spawned the Tutorials page and seeing more women like me get deleted made Terra of Gaia.

Now I'm spiteful again to random mixes on YT for being AI trash. Guess I'm gonna write about spotting AI music on YT next.

2026 4 10

I saw a giant apple statue today. Delightfully mundane for something in the middle of traffic really.

I've been on a little RTS kick and started playing some Age of Empires II again. I did a bit of the Joan of Arc campaign and mostly just giant matches. My heart belongs to the Huns. Horse everything was always fun to rush in our little LAN & Hamatchi games. I then tried to get a copy of Warcraft 3: Frozen throne to run but I've having some trouble here and there.

I also started playing some PokeMMO. In the game you can start in any of the regions you have the 'game' of and also travel to other regions later, provides you have the 'game'. As the name implies, you share the world with others! The game is available on tons of platforms, too.

This is part of my mainstay team. I have a few others I swap out like an Arbok named Toxic Noodle, Noctowl called HowlOwl and some other random Bug/Psy types. I'm raising an Abra I've called "Jin Alakazama".
Totodoro is mostly there because I could give him Strength, Surf and Cut. I caught Webster and Nerox early on as I started in Johto, the 2nd generation. Zullie comes from the first cave area close to the start. I'm currently stuck a little in 2 regions. In Johto, Clair is destroying my little Poison/Dark/Psy team with ease. I'm training a Charmander and Magikarp to teach Dragon moves to. In Kanto I rushed through the last 2 gyms with a clutch and now the rival encounter before the League gates is a little too tough.

Your pokemon are level locked to which badges you have in the region you're in. If you bring a Level 50 pokemon into battle in a region where you only have a few badges and your level limit is like 30; your pokemon will insta KO itself in it's first turn. It so you don't bring in hyper trained killing machines and blast through a region in half a day. Some of my pokemon have outleveled a region and I can't use them anymore. I gotta train some new ones!

The game also involves a lot of breeding of pokemon for perfect EV and IV stats. I'm going about it all a bit more casual though. Just having a big adventure across the regions and then I'll put pokemon games down again for a year or 2 - 3.

I found a Team Rocket outfit, too!

I do think about that Pokemon MOBA sometimes though. I see the cute outfits and I just wonder if it's worth playing.

2026 4 4

We went to a Sunfire gig! I saw some friends, had fun and heard some tunes from the new album!

2026 04 02

Mentally, I have adopted the phrase "We should uma gif"

This could be either of us.

2026 04 01

(On Tumblr)
Tons of trans women banned for fucking nothing, but you can play snake or some shit.

2026 3 29

Spotted downtown on a small shopping trip.

2026 03 25

I was exchanging pics with someone and discord dropped me out of my voice chat and would not start up again. I honestly thought that was it for a second there and I was purged.

Just an outage.

2026 3 24

While at the store I noticed the basket I grabbed had one of my stickers in it. Neat!

I've been playing Warhammer: Return of Reckoning again. A private server for an ancient MMO all about fighting each other in the Warhammer Fantasy world. I play for a week or 2 maybe once every year or 2. I like a lot of things in the game, minus like half of the players. Big pvp battles, sieging keeps and goofy warhammer! What's not to love!
I got it running on my Linux Mint without too much issue, although sometimes you do gotta restart the launcher once or twice before it goes "Oh yeah, I'm supposed to make contact and log you in."

I finally got around to leveling my healer to the max normal level. I still wanna change her name later on. Right now it's Shanaa Blightrotten, but I wanna rename her to like Nurgelette or something cute.

2026 03 23

I have an instagram in the background where I mostly follow RL friends and post nothing. Well, I used to post selfies, stickers and website updates but then someone who has been less than kind to me found the Insta and I cleared the whole thing.

It does keep recommending other RL friends I haven't seen in a long time though. Another friend did mention that it's too late to delete the thing anyway, why not make it my own again at least?

2026 03 21

I was gonna go to the theater and then found out today I lost my dumb transit card again. maybe its better like this

I'm watching videos on someone who keeps little contained eco systems and documents all the growth and changes in them. I think something like this would be fun to do, but I don't really have the space to set up large glass boxes. Maybe I can use something closer to mason jars?

We've been watching episodes of Taskmaster and Last One Laughing in the VC together here and there. Taskmaster is alright, has some fun bits but nothing too gripping. Last One Laughing is amazing though, we watched Season 1 & 2.

The goal of the show is to put a room of comedian together and whoever is the last to laugh wins a bit of a prize. Every so often participants have to put on a show or act to try and make the others laugh. I used to listen to comedians on XM radio like 20 years ago so I do love it when they go head-to-head. I remember great moments between Joe de Rosa and Jim Norton on terrible shows. Seeing the comedians on Last one Laughing trying to out-awkward and overcringe each other is amazing.

2026 03 16

(On tumblr) I don't always have fun here, but they're gonna need to just actually kill the servers for me to leave. I'll just keep using Stylus and Xkit to fix everything. I mean, I shouldn't have to, I know.

But you know, all my hot mutuals cute friends are on here, so, ya.

2026 03 14

Listen, I love OSRS, the devs and mods have shown me they care. But then the CEO steps up and goes "stop pandering to the wokies, delete the pride events". People leave and now subscription prices are up again.

I cant even wear my cute trans flag sweater without being called a trap in this game anymore. the shitty crowd won I think. I just wanted to do the quests and listen to cute midi tunes.

Long ago but not ages, I would watch a bit of Zuthar13's stuff. I was playing a lot of Source games myself because my old PC couldn't handle much intense stuff. You can see how I end up on a channel where someone started out with "How to troll Gmod players" as a video series.

That series had already ended by the time I started really watching for a while. I saw him start to do more scripted stuff or at least try and tell a little story. He then moved over to GTA5 online and started a new persona; Commander Chaos. This later became his Vtuber name and persona when he stopped going as Zuthar13. By this point he had already started using his first name and a few pics on socials. Conner dresses like a vampire who is into melodic-doom-grunge and I always loved that.

He once did a stream where he took the mask off his Commander Chaos character and revealed himself to be a handsome anime man. I didn't follow this period of his streaming career but I did watch his last stream as that character. What happened is that he joined Hololive and then had to get rid of some of his old stuff.

To be very honest, Yeah, good, I get it.

As you can imagine from a 16 year old on player-moderated online games, the language and slurs are heavy sometimes. I don't know if he ever addressed these things, but it's whatever I guess. His fans were not kind to him when he wanted to Vtube as Cmd Chaos, let alone when he became Gavis Bettel.

He also does a show with a friend called "Best in Jest" and is still active on social medias. I missed a lot of these things because I checked it out and just wasn't drawn to it. I do like seeing him do well though. I also learned he does covers and has grown quite a vocal range!

So, that, I was watching some old Zuthar13 videos. His little movies of Team Purple and Two-Arms. So much has aged so poorly and it was already rotten at the time. But there's something fun about seeing the super early roots of someone. I take it all with a grain of salt and understand you have to view some things in the vacuum of 2013. I mean, it still was not okay back then, but gamers were even less informed.

2026 03 12

Last year somewhere I went back to my ancient forum of Neoseeker.
It wasn't really any fun and it's just like, 10 people across the whole site and half of them are only in the DBZ forum.

I followed up on one of my old friends and I did get in contact with them after a long silence, from when I reached out to when they replied.

They expressed they didn't know any trans people and was kind enough in their last message, but I can't help but feel they don't really want anything to do with me. It's been ever so silent.

Maybe it's just the long time skip. A lifetime has happened, to both of us.

Anyway, back then I changed my little bio on Neoseeker together with changing my pfp to the female knight from tactics where I used to have the male one a decade or 2 ago. Should anyone ever want to find me, they can again now.

Poke ALL Toads is out!

I had this one on my wishlist for a while after playing the demo. It's a cute little puzzle game where the goal is to poke all the toads in a level and live. You are backed up by other cute faeries each with their own skill or ability.

I got around to playing Psychopomp! I had heard of it before and liked what I saw, but I finally sat down and finished the first base game.
It's a grimy first person game, not really a puzzler, not a shooter. You do have an attack in the form of swinging a hammer, but you only need it a few times. I am in love with it's strange phrasings and bleak imaging of a darker world.

I don't have super many thoughts on it while I did enjoy it! I'm thinking I wanna get the Gold Edition which has some extra levels and all that.

2026 3 10

My dear friend Juglone made this super cute little Vtuber for me! I don't actually stream though, I just make my friends laugh by putting her in the corner of random streams of dailies or games in the friends chat.

2026 3 6

Had a work day close to the beach and caught this fun thing on my walk past the boulevard!

2026 03 05

Turns out that one of the people who code/tech advise for Bluesky has had some AI do like 99% of his code. He is also the type who saw a "temperature high" warning on his phone he left in the sun and went into the pool with it.

Lookin' good for bluesky so far.

Also I had seen some talk about Marathon and thought they were making a remake of the 90's FPS game, but it's just ARC Raiders/Escape from Tarkov?

I mean, you had something there you could have done something with, but okay, just use the name for the next live service game you're gonna kill in a while because profits or whatever.

2026 3 4

Slapped a Lonesome Malone's sticker on my acoustic for luck!

2026 03 03

im gonna buy tickets to the theater. im gonna go pretty. im gonna see some people who saw me as my worksona being depressive like 2 years ago and apologize as much as i can.

im gonna see the man who outed me loudly infront of strangers. Im gonna talk to the man who delights in calling me a faggot. Im gonna cry at the sight of the man who felt personally stung by me wanting to be me after decades.

2026 03 01

Every so often I'll vent a little to my friends and meanwhile they have real shit going and im just like, I should take a vow of silence actually. Like, I feel I can't suddenly talk about things I've never talked about because then it'll feel like I'm just trying to have a competition.

2026 02 29

The theater I mentioned before has this fun little thing on their insta, it's a quick talk with the guy who made part of the sets and props for the coming show. I've mentioned him before, too. Multiple times for various reasons.

While I do love seeing him do his thing and go beyond the "made it for me and my house" idea and make things for theaters and such. It's a little painful reminder I can't jump in now. I wasted to much time being insecure when I was first asked if I wanted to spend a few hours here and there to help. Now it's too late. He deserves the spot more then me anyway. He has actual skills with building, crafts, painting and making whatever prop you need of whatever material.

Like, either I show up as my worksona and disappoint the rest, or I show up as me and get a "Oh shit, hey DEADNAME, how you doing DUDE, what's up my MAN. Hey, you guys know DEADNAME right? Hey BRO why do you look like a faggot"

Hey don't tell him I said that. He was already mad at me for transitioning and not telling him. He also knows where I live.

2026 2 28

I got to see an underground parking lot!

Sorted out some of the seeds I'm growing this year!

Every so often I go back and replay the first Deus Ex. I change the resolution, I untag the Pistol skill and get Lockpicking, Multitool and Computing skills, I spawn and turn around and look at the skyline.
I chuckle and say to myself "Limitation of the engine"

Deus Ex was a very strange game to me when I first played it decades ago. While I completely missed the missing twin towers in the NYC skyline and didn't think about the implications of the statue of liberty being decapitated; I was very interested by what it was saying. In between complaining about how none of my shots connected, meeting the first rebel leader and just hearing him talk about consolidation got me invested.

Together with JC Denton I made a bizarre journey through various conspiracy theories. Some are given an explanation by Deus Ex, some are just driven to it's "logical" conclusion. The stereotypical Gray's are real, but they don't come from space. The Illuminati is real, but it's been dying for a long time. There is a man-made virus propagated by the same people who sell the cure. And so much more tucked away in the details. I recommend anyone to grab a copy, get Kenies launcher and rebind your controls. You can follow a guide if you want, no real person is gonna blame you for save scumming a passcode here or there either. But talk to people, every computer is a chance to learn something weird about what's going on in the year 2052!

I went to a little party! Here I am being very sociable in the kitchen.

We went out to a sort of medieval themed small dinner. The staff was dressed in-theme! While they did have mead, it came in what I can only describe as egg cups. The appetizer was soup and bread, the meal was a combination of ribs, chicken breast, sausages and a simple bowl of vegetables, ending with a sweet pudding! Rather then applaud, the custom was to bang the tables. You could hear glass and cups hit the tables every time.

It was snowy again for a little bit!

Today I closed Windows for the last time. I had been running Linux Mint Cinnamon on the little laptop before, then a dual boot on my main desktop and now I've fully jumped over. Most things have a replacement or Wine & Lutris cover it. For the few games I can only play on Steam, it works well enough out of the box when you switch some compatibility things here and there.

Playing Dwarf Fortress again for a little bit.

At first I thought that people on neocities were leaving or deactivating their sites, but it turns out a bunch of people have started to close their profile side and that makes it look like they deleted their site unless you go directly to it. I had seen a few complains about people losing Followers, but I was mostly worried that people's sites, their works of art, were deleted now and maybe I couldn't even figure out who it was.

Bu honestly, I kinda get it. As I follow more people and more people show up, the profile feeds become closer to social media. I don't mind people posting messages and so on, but sometimes you come across a site that has not been updated in half a year, but there's messages on the profile feed almost every day.

I don't really wanna close my profile part because I do like the interactions I have sometimes, I don't mind giving people a little assist if they have web design questions.
But sometimes I do open neocities and close it again after 3 scrolls and not seeing a page update from anyone.

I did see a push for people using RSS feeds more and more again, together with a webring dedicated to sites with one. I guess if I do get tired of that profile part of neocities, I have an option to just 'replace' it with a RSS feed.

I got a valentines this year <3 !

A while ago I came across a channel that builds a lot of goofy, sometimes dangerous machines and other contraptions. Uwo's Lab. I'm watching the stream where he showcases hobbies from viewers.

I do love this one!

Grass Kitty Fan is really good, too!

I had a workplace super close to me the other week so I just got to slowly walk to work for a week!

I had thought about joining some my friends and their theatre group, but the guy who loudly outted me a buncha years ago is there, too.

So I guess I'm not.

2026 2 10

I got a cute little charm from a neighbor for the coming New Lunar Year!

Talking on Residents vids and loathing the AI has shown me something, a lot of people think that spending hours making CGI on a Mac from the 70's is 100% the exact same as typing in prompts in sora.ai.

Like, When I was a kid a decade or 2/3 ago, a lot of people who never touched a computer thought that you open photoshop and say "make" and then it does everything and that real artists were dying out.

I had spend some time slapping my laptop on the table opening photoshop and going "Alright, have a fuckin' go at it then" back then, to no real avail, people just kept believing that anything made on the computer meant the computer did it all. "Oh, but I don't know how to use it" So? You're of the opinion that the people who actually use it don't either dipshit, equal footing.

Truly, the world must be full of miracles when you're dumb as shit.

We went out for a small gig of a friend! It was a fun and mellow Bluegrass band and I also got stickers from them! I also got these absolutely delightful dice in the trans pride colors from a dear friend!

I finished Pokemon X! Well, enough for me at least. Great game! I see why people loved it so much! Just a shame the multibillion dollar company can't just get a good one out like this more often then once every 3/4 gen's.

I get why people like Lucario so much now.

I think I've posted this before, but I still see that sentiment that the linux community in particular is super unfriendly to new people, is super elitist or says shit like "uuugggh, you moron, you didn't bombulous.rpf through the BingleBangleViewer, you absolute idiot, you should be opening the purffpurff files with GlobWatcherActive on, you baffoon!"

and like, nah. When we were still fucking about on our windows XP's we had this type of elitist shit on windows discussion spots. I found an Ipod at my cleaning job once and trying to find help on how to hook something like that up to a windows PC got me into threads with those types of people, too. The only difference was that the mac users probably had turtlenecks on as they post.

Like, yeah, you have those people there, you do, like you do on everything else? Like right here on Tumblr? or any of the other sites we pretend aren't big-web. Elitists who didn't know what they were on about was like 80% of the people on Yahoo Answers and Qoura.

Like, maybe people were never curious about their mac or windows installs and never saw the same shit happening in those communities and forums, and now that they have to think about Linux they're breaking down seeing it in the Linux community for the first time.

I hate it, too. I hate it when people get weird about explaining something to someone who is asking for help in a help forum. Legit questions deserve legit answers.

But I'm not gonna pretend it's linux exclusive in any way. How the fuck can people say this shit when reddit is right there. You can go on reddit and watch people be super condescending on hobbies right now.

Also

The French police and foreign affairs have raided the french twitter offices because of the grok ai is still making CSAM, but now you have to pay to get it. And that's great that they're stomping the french HQ to shit!
However, a lot of braindead people are posting this weird neo-nazi rhetoric about france. Even when they try to pay a compliment, a lot of people are reciting nazi propaganda.

I always find it weird when people pretend that the french are cowards or whatever. Lemme fucking tell you;

When they raised the pension age all around the world, no one but the french fought back about it. The US workers just bowed their head and said "thank you sir, may I have another sir" while the french were burning the houses down of the people who voted yes on that.

Like, I can tell USA press tries to not educate the US on France, it would be a disaster for the ruling class of the US if even 5% of their population was half as determined as a random french protester.

Granted, a lot of the world still has nazi WW2 propaganda in their heads when it comes to France. So, yeah, that tracks. That explains a lot I suppose.

Also

the last 2 days I've been trying to get something meaningful written about this whole "Epstein and Chris Poole met and made the /pol/ board and worked for a hard push in right wing rhetoric online and anti-trans propaganda together with starting gamergate for the sole purpose of harassing and silencing women in 'their' hobby space"

But I keep looping, I keep coming back to my own experiences with the site starting in like 2006 and how I did see a lot of this happening myself in online spaces. I keep kinda going "I fucking saw it, I saw it fucking happen and everyone called me weird for years over it."

I dunno, I think the mix of vindication and just anger are making me too chaotic in the moment to organize my thoughts proper. Like, where do I even start.
Well, I know where to start, I just lose the path halfway and start 3 other essay's in the first one.

I sometimes get a Monster energy every other week and today's was trans-inclusive vikings one!

I have never trusted anything that youtubers get sponsored by.
Everything in the past has turned out to be either the fakest shit, a money laundering scheme or like lootbox, just the garbage they wanted to throw away before they realized they can still get 30 bucks from you. Buying Lord titles in Wales or something. Squarespace and so on.

Like most VPN's who have no actual obligation to protect your browsing history and will hand it over to the cops in an instant. You're paying people to tunnel your data through them first so they have prime pick of all your data. Combining browser plugin like Decentraleyes and Ublock Origin will do more for you then something like NordVPN.

So, when I see BootDev everywhere now, I know there's something very wrong with it. I know that at some point we'll find out why they pushed so hard to fill all their seats.

I remember reading here and there Manscape would also send their shit to openly trans people with large enough channels on Youtube.

I've been thinking about how to visually represent combat in the text based adventure. We've done a few of these and I'd tried a few things, but I'd like to keep it basic if I can. I think this is how basic I'm gonna go with it.

I'm wondering if I should see Iron Lung and to take a friend who sometimes has markiplier on the background. I heard good things!

If I didn't know this was just bots and scrappers, it would have been really exciting!

2026 01 29

The urge to buy more sticker paper, but the printer is being an ass about proprietary ink again and I don't even have new things to print. Nothing of my own anyway.

I should get a job at a copy shop, at least I'd get paid for grunting at appliances and day dreaming about paper.

Starting another text-based roleplaying thing with people!
We're running Rise of the Runelords from Pathfinder, in 5th Edition, in pretty much just text!

I've ran and been part of the first 2/3 chapters of this campaign like 7 times and I swear to god I'm gonna see the end of it in my lifetime, somehow.

Also

Druid called Gnarlie Birch who sits in a tent saying "counterspell me" on it.

There was this great thing that no one really got to see, but at the end of elementary I was already wearing black jeans and shirts for a while, pokemon shirt aside. For my first year of middle school I tried to play it neutral with just blue jeans and random shirts, but said "eh fuck it" after 2/3rds of the first year.

Everyone thought I was becoming a metalhead and it wasn't even like that. I just wanted to dress like Luke in Return of the Jedi and the Blues Brothers. I mean, I did like metal until I found something louder, but like, still.

2026 01 08

I was born in the shadow of the berlin wall, which taught me that governments will never do anything for the people.

The massive concrete wall had to be broken by everyday people. The only reason the cops were there was to arrest the people causing "property damage" to the wall and let out their frustration that their leader killed himself.
