With a ringing still in his ears, Archy wipes the soot, mud and other remnants out of his eyes with the back of his hand, and stares at the crater where Ra once stood |

Upon seeing the bloody mess that used to be Ra'Sha, Slaen takes off in a dash to the western side of the building the party is now hiding behind. |
Garbek stares at the black pit in disbelief for a couple second, and then gives Archy two quick slaps on the shoulder. "Gotta keep movin' lad, we're in deep. Keep yer noggin clear." He then follows Slaen behind the house while checking behind him to see if Archy is actually following. (Dash)
Archy, lightly shaking, nods quickly without looking at Garbek, and follows the pair |
From the South you hear the yelling become a bit louder. A chanting of "Forward!" and "Blast them!" by Khobold voices become more audible along with the creaking of heavy wood. They move together, huddling around the ram-cannon, to the North. From the North-East, the Market Square, you see the light of torches break past the houses. Several small statured humanoids with 1 medium sized one behind them all eager look around with spears and bows ready and move to the West. From a quick glance you can see the black-clad groups move closer to the Keep entrance up the hill. A small fire provides very little in terms of visibility on where the cannon ball hit. The Dragon rises in the sky after the loud explosions with a mighty roar. Peering down, he hovers 200 feet or so above the town as his head moves from left to right. |
Hearing the shouting from the nearby Kobolds, Slaen attempts to break the glass in the window with her Bo staff, hoping that the enemy do not hear. > Melee attack on window, bonus action elbow strike if first attack fails.
The glass shatters easily with a firm tap of your staff. |
Slaen then moves the bo staff around the frame to get rid of glass shards sticking out, before hoping in through the window and turning to assist the others through aswell. "Common, I'll give you a hand. Quickly and quietly now guys." |
Archy grabs Slaens' hand and jumps through the opening |
With the grace of a drunk hill giant, Garbek holds onto Slaen's hand and stumbles his way through the window. "Stay low, quiet and calm. We're severely outnumbered so let's try to keep their groups isolated. Hopefully some of 'em lose track of us while we're in here. We should head towards the keep if we have an opening. It's easier to fight from a defensible position like that, despite the gaping hole in it right now..." |
Slaen nods at Garbek while dusting off her cloths with her hands. "Agreed, the keep is most likely our best chance right now... Taking into account the fire breathing dragon circling above we should really try to keep it down right now, best we can." Slaen looks around the room quickly, to get an understanding of her immediate surroundings. Indicating to the nervous looking Dragon-born Slaen says: "We should try and disguise or cover this window with something, it's clearly been broken but maybe they won't catch on as quick if we can cover it ... will you give me a hand Archy?" |
Archy flinches when he hears his name What... what? Sorry uhh I uhhh...I can't - uh I'm just going to... sit here.. for a bit...and uh... Archy's voice lowers into a soft mumble while he continues to sit on the ground, legs stretched and his head leaning against a wall, staring at a broken chair. |
Your feet touch soft carpet and you find yourself by the window in some one's bedroom. To the north is a small table with various little knick-knacks and small objects. Pens, papers, ink, scraps of bread and the odd cup here and there. East of you is a long cupboard with candles on top of it and clothing in the drawers. They seem to be of decent quality. To your South and South West is a regular bed and a door into the rest of the house. It hinges slightly ajar and allows you a look inside. |
The shuffling and yelling outside comes closer and closer. A single shout heard above the noise. You feel the ground quake as you yourselves rock in place. From the slightly opened door you see dark clouds, fire and wood splintering violently. Another deafening explosion shakes you as the aggressive yelling outside continues. |
Archy flinches, crawls away from the explosion, and tries to jump back out of the window |
As Archy braces to jump, the familiar thunderous noise rises. From the East of the house, wood, glass and various materials fly trough the air at you. The wall bursts and spews it's bricks your way. Tables, desks and even the couch violently burst trough the air in your direction due to the massive blast. Archy lands belly first outside of the bedroom window with the loud crashing noises behind him. A layer of gravel and small splintered wood cover him. |
Parts of the house violently fling themselves towards Garbek and Slaen. Bricks and shattered household items crash against your bodies with intense speed and force. Shards from broken windows, cabinets and other miscellaneous decor swiftly race through the house on their way to you. In a brief moment, the wall opens brutally to make way for the iron cannon ball. It rips through the air, Garbek and Slaen. With it's army of debris, it rampages through the house before hitting the 2 fighters, a massive impact breaking the ground and shaking the rest of the foundation. All that remains is the destroyed hull of the house, fire and 2 incomplete bodies. |
Archy scrambles up from the ground, dazed and vision blurred. He quickly examines himself for injuries, realizing he still has all his limbs he glances back at the ruins left where a house once stood. 09:51:27
He looks up to the sky, finding the dragon, and yells in draconic: CURSES BE UPON YOU, DRAGON! MAY YOUR WINGS ROT AND SCALES FALL OFF!
Dust billows in the air among the crumbled house. There is a brief moment of silence between stones falling, shouting in the distance and the enormous beast in the skies. A group of Khobolds and humanoids enter the ruins of the house and look around. Most of the Khobolds can be seen cupping their ears or repeating "What?" at eachother. They meekly turn stones and broken plates upside down as they search. You see the cannon stop just a little souteast of the broken home as it halts. The crew stares intensely at the scorched floors and faint bits of wall still standing. You, Archy, find yourself in a shadowy spot, vaguely concealed by the broken pillars and wood as dust gently settles. Your shout has been heard, but they can't seem to pinpoint you. |
