Foreword

Clear Skies is a Pathfinder Campaign designed for 3-5 players. It is recommended to encourage semi-serious characters, but players should have fun and laugh often enough.

Eres is where Clear Skies takes place. It is a small collection of cities and towns that live in a peculiar effect. Or rather, who live underneath one. Above Eres hangs a seemingly eternal cloud of rain. While the edges of the clouds split and dissipate almost around the borders of Eres, the center is a soft white color and sometimes permits some light to shine through in full glory.

The lands are sweeping Plaines broken by large rivers and mountains stacked on their own giant circles. In its north-west parts it even finds a massive collection of waterfalls.

Some scholars who have experienced the rain wrote reports of a calm nation simply wading around deep rivers and a slight weather defect. A magical defect that we’ve yet to discover fully. An establishment in Eres should come prepared for the downpour. Cities employ large storm drains to keep the water in rotation as Villages use ditches and even crude pipes to regulate theirs.

From the capital of Eres, Edil, a small council leads the still young lands. The small nation strives to carve out its own identity in the world and is becoming increasingly more technology fueled as its goal. While not all breakthroughs in technology reach every place, one should not be surprised to see crude firearms amongst the clanking armors here and there.

Despite the high focus on machinery, Magical use and creations still stand strong under the rain. Seekers of knowledge can drench themselves in books in the libraries of the major Cities or even enlist in Colleges for the magically adapt.

You came to Eres to perhaps seek fortune, see the eternal rain with your own eyes or maybe a more personal goal.
The most common access point is of the Lake of Surge, at the small but industrious port of Surge Town. Many travelers opt for the easy boat ride and greet a new horizon on a dock.
