My characters!

I played Tabletop a lot for a while. I still kinda do here and there, but no longer every Saturday/Sunday. I also run games online from time to time. Next to that I run Text-based stuff with friends on discord.

Below are some of my more memorable characters I've played. Like most players, I've played 100's of characters, but you only really care about maybe 2 handfulls for real.

Nayu Kiln

Nayu Kiln is an Half-Elf Life Oracle first made for a Rise of the Runelords campaign for the Pathfinder system. I only played her for a few small sessions before the group splintered.

Nayu was a kind soul who would grant cantrip blessings to any one she crossed paths with in good faith. Despite a horrible event in her past, she tried her best to spread positivity and kindness.

"Nayu was born on the outskirts of Razmiran to Elven parents on 15 Erastus (July). Her parents were slaves to one of the landlords there.
Nayu is the youngest of her family, having 2 older brothers. At early age Nayu was found have a slight magical knack. Her parents tried their best to keep it secret from those who take it from her or otherwise use her and her magic for selfish deeds. Nayu was taught early to aid those in pain or in peril. Her family was in constant fear of the ruler of the land and the landlord under them.

Once, Nayu was taken in the night by a small group of Razmiran soldiers. While she was tending to sick livestock, she was seen using her magic and was reported by a lookout of the Razmiran Military. They had seen her cast spells and tend to the wounded and wanted to use her to simply heal their own soldiers. In her captivity she attempted to escape but was caught. As punishment her captors had maimed her by cutting her right leg with a dagger and mocked her attempt at running away. After a week in solitary, she was freed by a small militia aiming to free any slaves of the Razmiran landowner. While she rushed home into her families arms, they all knew they had to leave. Sadly, only she and her brother, Yzun, were able to escape. They traveled from Razmiran to the East until they hit the lands of Lastwall. In a moment of grief, Yzun returned home and told Nayu to carry on.

Nayu pressed on from Lastwall towards the ocean. Making small stops at villages and sometimes sleeping in trees. Nayu is about to wander into Sandpoint to take a quick break and unwind from feeling chased and wishful for her families well-being. "

Modo Illspitter
Modo was a Ratfolk Gunslinger, send to a magical labirynth for his warcrimes.

"Modo was born in a small warren by Daggermark. As was normal in that time, Modo was trained for combat early on. Raised by the warren to fight along side it. Modo's first enemy was an imperial detachment from the Chilliax Empire, looking to settle a human town too close to their warren.

Modo was trained in the mechanical arts of Gunsmithing. His warren, after all, figured that those who strike a distance would never have to fear an enemy up-close. They favored initiative and a pro-active approach to combat and diplomacy alike.
Soon a neighboring warren of similar Ratfolk looked to expand over their territory. This marked a change in Modo. When he found himself against anything not his own species, he would feel no qualms about murder. But he was reluctant to face his own kind. It did not take long for him to overcome and adapt, in his own way.

Now anyone or anything could be an enemy. He had seen his fellow Ratfolk perish by his own trigger and his ‘ enemies' slaughter his brothers. In the unbridled rage he managed to get staffed to deal with interrogations.
While for a time he followed protocol, but soon he started to act different. He would pressure them with suffering by asking impossible questions or simply act out anger on them.

While everyone kept quiet, Modo's horrid acts were never laid to rest. In the years following the rough political and war climate, a stalemate ensued. Soon the neighboring lands got involved and applied their law to the battling warrens.

Modo was found guilty of a high number of lost enemy personnel and the appearance of many loose body parts. And for that he is to face a penalty deemed worthy by, as he would say, “outsiders”."

Iso Illspitter
Iso was a Ratfolk Alchemist, easy to panic and lost without his one comrade, Iso weathered a chapter of the Rise of the Runelords campaign.

Vaarg Vilkness
Vaarg was a Dragonborn Paladin, an ex-soldier captured in his travels by a mad cult, looking to invoke occult gods. Vaarg and his friend, Norbin, were put in a slave camp and forced to survive the arena, the labour, the forming of the resistance and parenting a young girl whose parents had died by his hands.

"Vaarg was born to a small family in the Harglast region in a quiet settlement. He spent his early years learning small martial skills from his father and schooling at a local temple with his mother and siblings.

Soon a neighboring region of humans started to invade the Harglast outer reaches. It was quickly decided to mobilize an army of the collective settlements in Harglast and stand against the enemy. Vaarg and his father were both enlisted and were part of many skirmishes against their human invaders.

Years on the field, in trenches and humble tents left him ultimately a bit disassociated with regular folk. Vaarg was dead-set in his beliefs of protecting those dear to him and the cruel fate of war. The loss of allied lives weighed heavy on Vaarg and would slowly crumble his resolve.

During one fateful battle for territory Vaarg lost his father in an ambush set by his enemies. Swearing rightful retribution on them, Vaarg continued his bloody defense and soon found him growing closer and closer to the frontlines.

Throughout their lives, His older siblings found simple crafts to practice in the settlement and their mother slowly suffered from degraded health by her sorrow, worries and the news of her husband's demise later in the war. Vaarg was not present for these events.

During a trying time Vaarg came across a small, ruined temple and took a moment to pray for all those he had lost and left at home. A small tinge of hope entered his thoughts and brought him a minor moment of respite. For a bright moment, he envisioned his victory against his enemies and felt resolute in his actions.

Vaarg marched on until he found himself far from home with only few soldiers and comrades by his side. In an instant he found himself snared by an unidentified group of assailants and dragged to their settlement."

LRR-7
A mass producted assassination robot contracted for quick missions in the Starfinder universe. LRR enjoyed human company, but didnt value specific people at first. To them, there were just so many of them anyway.

"A medium height, mass produced Android hailing from an Ysoki factory world. L.R.R.-7 was created to serve in a small
combat unit. His ' name' stands for "Long Range Recon - Unit 7". After several skirmishes it was relieved of it's combat
duty and set free. LRR-7 was lost for a time. All it knew was combat and had difficulty adjusting to a peaceful life. It came in
contact with a mysterious contractor by the name of Sjib, who was able to offer it jobs that gave him meaning and a sense of
familiarity"

GreyRat Shiv-Stacks
Greyrat was a Burglar Ratfolk. A sardonic woman who would take in the night and give poison in secret.

Lucas Levos
Lucas was taken by the same cult as Vaarg. Claiming to hail from a wealth, noble line, Lucas claims that when he gets out, he'll come back with all the Blue Knights!

" Lucas states he was born among foppish elite and worthless dukes. Wasting his time fencing, doing cordial visits to other delegates and attending balls to extend foolish bloodlines of snobs. He tells us he escaped the night before his
arranged wedding. Cleverly scaling his way down the side of his fathers castle, avoiding guards and fans along the streets. He tells us it was all very close and tense, but his skills and passion for being free brought him on the right path.

While "formerly known as sir" Levos claims to be from royal stock and carries himself as one of such, there is no trace of this when questioned. No-one mattered, everyone was transient and all he had was his training from a person he refuses to refer to."

SRP-12
SRP-12 was a simple maintance droid that came with the ship. A cheerful attitude and a small stature would make them perfect for stealth and eavesdropping. Not bad at sneaking grenades into the backline, either!

Skiff Greenseek
A Ratfolk Oracle. A mother of 8 who feels she has learned enough at home. She readies for her journey outside of the warren and bids farewell to her husband and childeren.

"Skiff was born to a Ratfolk warren called "Kiln Wreathe " by the north edge of the Mwagwi Expanse on Garund . The warren itself build close to old ruins of a long forgotten tribe . Standing stones with symbols still adorn the landscape and the ruins house many interesting things . The warren embraced strong hints of spirituality and had many Oracles and even some Warlocks to it 's name . At a young point in her life , Skiff was faced with the warren dividing itself . Many wanted to expand further and be more connected to the surrounding lands and it 's flora . Howecer , plenty still adhered to Ratfolk traditions and wanted to stay in the warrens .

This divide hit the communities hard as the skilled labourers they all relied on were split . The Alchemist stayed while the proficient herb gatheres went into the wider world . Miners at a loss with their production as the finer smiths had left . Skiff was raised as an oracle by many of the folk that moved away from the warren . She married a warrior by the name of Skeen Iron -break . They enjoyed life in a cozy home , happily . Skiff became a mother to 5 small ratfolk . Her sons Kliff , Greeg , Korn and her daughters Kifi & Yyes . She herself stayed in the warren for some time , tending to her children and passing down her simple healing abilities . Once she was confident enough in her offspring , she packed her things to spend time with the Green -Seekers as they had named themselves . Skeen was opposed to it , but after meeting the commune himself he found trust in them .

She was welcomed , loved and granted the communes name . She would spend a short year in the Green -Seeker commune and slowly learn more of the surronding world . Facinated by the stories the commune had heard from travellers , things they had seen in the distance and her own curiousity , Skiff Green -Seek readied her belongings and traveled past a few towns and villages . Met with more bewilderment than resentment , Skiff would slowly start to plan larger travels , longer journeys and even following a rumour or 2 ."

Generics
I made a bunch of Human Male Fighter / Paladin / Cleric's because the party needed one and the DM wouldn't just give us potions or scrolls. I don't care about them really. I got nothing to explore if I gotta just be the stoic version of myself for the sake of the table.

The generics tended to have short backstories. A lot of my fighters were variations on the same guy, Kain of Salansia. Sometimes spelled different, this was just a more stoic version of myself that required little roleplaying and would go along with the meta of the group.

My Travel Journals!

At some point, my very meta Pathfinder group saw a post somewhere saying that we needed to divide extra roles among the players. 1 person had to be dedicated inventory and another had to be the scribe. I ended up being the chronicler for our adventures most of the time when people wanted this role-thing done.

Some of these adventures were fun and some were horrible at the table. Some are incomplete even.

The majority of adventures we've had remain unlogged and the best we might have is notes or old character sheets in our folders. I suppose this happens to a lot of groups. We also just ran a lot of one-shots because forming a party is turbuent and uncertain.

Rise of the Runelords with Nayu Kiln!

A young Half Elf woman wanders to Sandpoint after an event that has left her shaken. While ultimately trying to escape on a boat away from Golarion, she becomes intwined with events in the town and the encroaching goblin menace.

The Old World

Oro awakens in the drinking hall of his feudal , tribal village. Today is his coming of age ceremony with some of his friends. A simple hunt escalates and soon a vision of an ancient war set them on a path to protect their home and loved ones.

Rise of the Runelords with Modo illspitter!

A ratfolk and a Boggart walk into Sandpoint. The joke is soon spoiled as the Boggart disappears and Modo is left with a group on a mission to quell the Goblin menace, the murders in town and the meaning of the ancient ruins of old gods below the land itself!
