After seeing some little anime stuff on TV and later online, I came across AMV's early on. I would mostly look for metal-ish AMV's of shows I knew so my pool was a little limited. I remember loving a lot of AMV Hell.

I forget which ones came first, but I remember a bunch of Neon Genesis ones with Rammstein or Rage Against The Machine. Trigun and System of a Down. A fun one from Gundam Wing with Holding Out For A Hero.

Hellsing had one that I struggle to remember, Final Fantasy Unlimited with Linkin Park.

I never spend much time in a community for AMV's or anything. I would just hit up search engines, land on fan-sites and sometimes be lucky that the host had the space to host the AMV on their site.

The first and last AMV Hell movies I saw were all on Google Video.
